Retro stripe sea pottery pendant

Retro stripe sea pottery pendant

£85.00

This pendant has been handcrafted using traditional silversmithing skills and tools at my home studio.

A single square-shaped piece of sea pottery from the Isle of Sheppey has been set in a fine silver bezel onto a textured sterling silver back plate which has then been oxidised and polished to create contrast around the avocado green retro stripe pottery. This is a floating pendant with a tube bail at the back so that effectively floats on the chain. Comes with sterling silver 16” spiga chain, also oxidised.

Each piece of my handmade jewellery is traditionally made using basic silversmithing tools and skills at my East London studio and are mostly one of a kind creations. I use precious metals, gemstones and beach finds in my work and apply different textures and finishes to vary my work as much as possible. I love to use organic shapes and influences and most sea glass or sea pottery pieces are used without any additional cutting, sanding or tumbling. Gemstones are ethically sourced and I use every tiny bit of silver I purchase including any fragments, offcuts and silver dust.

All of my handmade jewellery pieces are presented in rustic, eco-friendly gift boxes and shipped in recycled packaging where possible.

All of the seaglass, sea pottery or beach finds used in my handmade jewellery are authentic and mostly found by me or my family during beach trips unless donated by fellow makers or beachcombers whom I trust. Seaglass and sea pottery are often random in shape, size, colour and pattern and no two pieces are exactly the same. These are man-made materials which have been shaped and beautified by mother nature and as such they may have natural imperfections.
