Rhodolite garnet silver twig ring size N/O

Rhodolite garnet silver twig ring size N/O

£90.00

This ring has been crafted using a single piece of sterling silver wire, which has been textured using a basic DIY hammer to create rustic grooves and lines mimicking those found in nature. A single rhodolite garnet cabochon, which is more pink in colour than its more popular red garnet relative, nestles between the fused silver twig-like silver strands. The silver has been oxidised to give a darkened tone to the metal and then polished to create depth.

Measures: UK Size N to O

All of my jewellery pieces are handcrafted by me using traditional silversmith skills at my little home studio, and are generally one of a kind in their design. I sometimes use findings which are not handmade, such as the chains I use for pendants but otherwise my jewellery is fashioned just from sheet silver and silver wire and old fashioned basic techniques and tools. I use ethically sourced gemstones where possible and all of the beachcombed items I use such as sea glass, sea pottery and sea plastic are genuine, mostly found by me (unless kindly donated) and smoothed naturally by the sea predominantly off the coast of England. My pieces are hallmarked when necessary as a precious metal by the London Assay Office with my maker’s mark – I use mostly sterling silver for my handmade jewellery and these are hallmarked when they are above the weight of 7.78g.
