Turquoise seaglass bubble pendant

Turquoise seaglass bubble pendant

£95.00

This pendant has been handcrafted using traditional silversmith skills and tools at my home studio.

Sterling silver sheet and fine silver bezel wire have been used to create a setting for the unique piece of Italian turquoise seaglass.

Texture has been applied to the silver using a punch and hammer, stamping each circle by hand. The pattern has then been oxidised to give contrast between the flat surfaces and the marks in the silver. The pendant hangs from a tube bail on a 16” sterling silver chain. The pendant effectively “floats” with this kind of bail.

Measures: approximtaely 2.5cm x 2cm
Materials: Sterling silver, fine silver, seaglass
Finish: Oxidised/polished

Each piece of my handmade jewellery is traditionally made using basic silversmithing tools and skills at my East London studio and are mostly one of a kind creations. I use precious metals, gemstones and beach finds in my work and apply different textures and finishes to vary my work as much as possible. I love to use organic shapes and influences and most sea glass or sea pottery pieces are used without any additional cutting, sanding or tumbling. Gemstones are ethically sourced and I use every tiny bit of silver I purchase including any fragments, offcuts and silver dust.

All of my handmade jewellery pieces are presented in rustic, eco-friendly gift boxes and shipped in recycled packaging where possible.

All of the seaglass, sea pottery or beach finds used in my handmade jewellery are authentic and mostly found by me or my family during beach trips unless donated by fellow makers or beachcombers whom I trust. Seaglass and sea pottery are often random in shape, size, colour and pattern and no two pieces are exactly the same. These are man-made materials which have been shaped and beautified by mother nature and as such they may have natural imperfections.
